Fillers
Fillers are an injectable treatment that can be used to reshape and smooth the surface of aging skin, particularly nasolabial folds, lip lines, and drooping mouth corners. Dermal fillers can also be used to fill in areas that have lost volume, restoring a youthful fullness to your face and volume to your lips.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does it work?
The physicians use fillers made of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance that, along with collagen, serves as the framework in which skin cells live. When injected as a filler, hyaluronic acid adds volume and fills lines by attracting water to the areas in which they are injected.
When will I see results?
Many facial wrinkles result from nerves telling muscles to remain contracted. When injected directly into the muscle, Botox blocks these signals from the nerves, allowing the muscles to relax and smoothing the wrinkles that they cause.
Is there a recovery period?
After treatment, temporary swelling, bruising, redness, or soreness in the treatment area can be experienced.
Who performs the treatment?
Dr. Tina Alster and Dr. Nina Hartman (Board-Certified Dermatologists).
